Rockridge, MacArthur BART stations reopen after report of suspicious item
Rockridge and MacArthur BART stations have reopened in Oakland following a report of a suspicious item on a train, officials say.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- BART officials said nothing suspicious was found on a BART train or at two Oakland BART stations following reports of a suspicious item on a train Wednesday afternoon.

Bomb-sniffing dogs checked out the Rockridge station and didn't find anything, according to BART officials.

Both Rockridge and MacArthur stations were closed starting around 3:30 p.m. when the suspicious item was reported.

"We are in recovery mode, both stations are open, and we don't have any suspicious item that was found," spokeswoman Cheryl Stalter said.
