SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Are you ready for the weekend? Here are some fun ideas from our partners at Hoodline - the hyper local neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.
San Francisco Symphony's "Holiday Gaiety"
When the same old holiday traditions just aren't doing it for you anymore, we may have the solution. Nothings wrong with A Christmas Carol or the Nutcracker, but if you like your holiday entertainment dialed up a little, look no further than the "Holiday Gaiety." It starts with the San Francisco symphony playing holiday music. Among the performers will be triple threat actor Cheyenne Jackson, SF's own Peaches Christ and author Armisted Maupin. It's all going down Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Santa Skivvies Run
On Sunday, take a jog through the Castro District in your red underwear or just watch other people do it. It's the Santa Skivvies run and money raised goes to the San Francisco AIDS foundation.

Circus Veritas
Or you can sit back and watch fit people do flips while lying to you. Yes, it's 2017 and even the circus can't be trusted. Oakland's Kinetic Arts presents Circus Veritas, which promises to thrill you, shock you and above all lie to you. It performs all weekend and on dates through December 17.
