Iconic Bay Area ice cream parlor celebrates 120th anniversary

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An iconic ice cream parlor is gearing up for a sweet celebration. Fentons Creamery is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year.

They'll be holding a special event on July 20 at their Piedmont location.

Fentons opened in 1894 at 41st and Howe avenues in Oakland. It's so well known it even made a brief appearance in the Pixar movie Up.
