SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Cirque du Soleil is touring again, and this year fans can delight in the wonderful, fantastical world of LUZIA.
This incredible Cirque du Soleil production envelops the audience into a dream-like state, while showcasing both modern and traditional Mexican culture.
Directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, LUZIA will transport guests to a magical place where nature, modernity, surrealism and mythology come together in a show that will inspire and amuse the whole family.
Not a detail was spared in the creation of this whimsical piece. From the Latin inspired musical score featuring Cumbia and Huapengo inspired rhythms, to the meticulously styled costuming, fans are sure to leave the show in awe. Not to mention the astounding acrobatics, tricks and stunts all performed in the surreal setting that is LUZIA.
Each scene incorporates a variety of Mexican themes in a single image. Audiences don't need an understanding of all of the symbolism to enjoy this spectacular event, but we've compiled a small list of some of the many references to Mexico's rich culture that fans will get to see at Cirque du Soleil's touring performance of LUZIA.
