Crews contain brush fire in field near Eastridge Mall in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews contained a brush fire near Eastridge Mall in San Jose Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to a report of a brush fire at 4:24 p.m. in an empty lot near the intersection of East Capitol Expressway and Quimby Road.

Officials say northbound East Capitol Expressway between Quimby Road and Nieman Boulevard has reopened.

So far, there have been no reports of any injuries.
