A man acquitted of a 1979 murder by reason of insanity escaped from a psychiatric hospital in Hawaii on Sunday, prompting a massive manhunt in the Bay Area.

"I told the dispatch this morning, I said, 'I'm not, if he calls for me, I don't want nothing to do with that because he's the guy.' And my boss called and he said, 'Are you sure?' and I said, 'I'm 100% sure. I'm 100%'," the cabbie said.

That driver's certainty helped lead police to the suspected killer.
