NAPA, Calif. (KGO) -- Tourists are back in downtown Napa, signalling the beginning of a comeback less than a week after the 6.0 earthquake hit.
"I'm very happy to see things coming back," said Shelly Jordan of Oregon.
It's actually good to see what can happen and think, wow this is something to prepare for," said tourist Paula Lebre.
Some businesses that were red-tagged after Sunday's earthquake have now been upgraded to green. That means they passed inspection but might have minor damage.
The tasting room at Naked Wines opened Saturday evening with a quake relief party. The benefits go to a disaster fund.
Napa Cigars is back in business too with a few cracks on the wall.
"We were worried it was going to take a while to get a green tag cleared and how many days we could stand being closed," said owner Eric Smaldino.
Neighborhoods are still bouncing back with some hit harder than others. Roads are being repaved and sidewalks fixed.
Napa resident Andre Wagner says she has been cleaning non-stop.
"Glass broken everywhere. I mean you couldn't walk through a room when it happened," said Andre Wagner.
Even though her house is structurally sound, the inside was a complete mess.
"I was kind of sitting in a heap wondering where to start. Honestly it's been very overwhelming," said Wagner.
Free cleaning supplies were given out in the park of a Napa Bank, but by noon they were all gone.
Building inspectors are still at work and more than 1,000 buildings have been either yellow or red-tagged.
The debris drop off pile is getting smaller and people who live here say they're on the way to getting back to normal.
