GRATON, Calif. (KGO) -- Flooding was a big concern Wednesday in Sonoma County and there was evidence of it in several places.

Green Valley Road is closed, but there are plenty of drivers who ignored that. Video from Sky7 HD put it into context. The road became part of Green Valley Creek and it was certainly a test for drivers, some turned around and others took the plunge.

"I am trying to get home and this is much worse than when I left an hour ago," said Edie Brown, a neighbor.

Edie Brown described the ever changing and now partially invisible Green Valley Road, where neighbors say this happens almost every year.

"Really need to do is to raise the road and put in a culvert so we can go through," said neighbor John Bianchi.

Residents say Wednesday's flooding was still minor even after the Sonoma County Department of Transportation and public works dug a trench along the side, and filled it with concrete in the hope that this year, the pavement will not wash away.
