Female pedestrian killed in San Francisco crosswalk

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in San Francisco Saturday night.

It happened late Saturday afternoon at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Quintara Street in the Sunset District.

Police said a blue Toyota sedan traveling southbound on 19th Avenue struck the elderly female pedestrian as she was crossing at Quintara on the south side of the intersection.

The pedestrian died at the scene. The motorist, an adult female, is cooperating with police..
