SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There was all the razzle dazzle you'd expect on a 4th of July in San Francisco.
The Embarcadero and Pier 39 were jammed all afternoon and evening.

"Just be happy today it's a time of celebration," said one visitor.
The patriotic fervor and party atmosphere were overtaken for some visitors by fear.
"Actually, we are worried, that's why we're going back to the hotel," said Mario Joseph, from Indonesia, who said he was worried about a terror attack.

San Francisco police said they had lots of uniformed and plainclothes officers on the ground and their Special Operations Bureau was deployed for rapid response to any acts of violence.
"We came out for Pride last weekend to you can't let fear get to you," said Jayesh Patel from Fremont.

And thousands clearly didn't, as they enjoyed another San Francisco fourth with fireworks and fog.
