SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- ABC7 News has partnered with the team at Hoodline -- the hyperlocal neighborhood website -- to bring you what's new and happening this weekend in San Francisco.
Try making your own chocolates instead of the store bought kind at Feve Artisan Chocolatiers in Portola Place neighborhood. It's a great date idea for this weekend and they even have a special session on Valentine's Day night.
The party continues celebrating the Lunar New Year. This weekend the Spring Festival, an annual showcase, is happening at the Chinese Cultural Center in San Francisco's Chinatown. This year's theme is "Martial Spirit" and will feature martial arts performances to help bring in the Year of the Rooster. Local performers and school kids will display their skills.
The show is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
There's still plenty of time to check out art inspired by the famous Japanese animator, Hayao Miyazaki. A show dedicated to his work is featured at the lower Nob Hill art gallery, Spoke SF. Over 40 artists are featured and the whimsical tribute runs through Feb. 25.
Whimsy, celebration, and romance-Feburary is off to a great start.
MORE TO DO: Enjoy the weekend, and don't forget to check out Hoodline's events calendar for more ideas.
