SAN FRANCISCO -- A sinkhole reported in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood is causing traffic delays and impacting Muni service in parts of the city on Thursday.

Emergency repair crews are at Church and 24th streets working to fix the sewer line failure that led to the sinkhole.

Traffic between Jersey and 24th streets on Church Street is closed at this time.

Officials say the J Church line will shuttle around the sinkhole.

Shuttles are being sent to provide supplemental service to passengers, according to SFMTA officials.

Officials expect to reopen the streets in the area impacted by the sinkhole before midnight.
