A suspect stabbed 3-year-old K-9 officer, Jelle with hedge clippers in the backyard of a Concord home.

He spent two weeks recovering in his handler's home after being treated for a head wound by veterinarians.

Police shot and killed the suspect, who they say was threatening officers after police say he had ripped off his clothes and ran through the street, ending up in a backyard where he lunged at Jelle and officers with a hedge clipper.
