North Bay fires: By the numbers

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Flames raced across California wine country and left little more than smoldering ashes and eye-stinging smoke in their wake.

4 counties, 12 wildfires, 10 states have sent crews to help battle them, 40 shelters have opened for evacuees, 3,500 structures burned, 5-10 years projected before local infrastructure is rebuilt.

This is the magnitude of the North Bay fires.
