Police investigating sideshow activity in West, East Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland police are investigating several sideshows in West and East Oakland Sunday morning.

One of the sideshows took place at High Street and Coliseum Way.

Video showed a large crowd gathered at the intersection as cars raced in circles.

Officials say the sideshows ended by 4 a.m.

There was no word yet if there had been any arrests or citations.

Sideshows have been an ongoing problem in Oakland.

Last month, police arrested five people and impounded motorcycles after nearly 200 bikers performed sideshows.
