Napa police seeking witness in alleged campus assault

NAPA, Calif. -- Police are asking to speak with a possible female witness to an alleged sexual assault at Napa Valley College on Monday, police said.



The victim in the assault entered a women's bathroom in the college's 1800 building at about 2 p.m., according to police.



The victim told officers she saw another female person inside the bathroom washing her hands, according to police.



The possible witness then left the restroom and the assault took place, police said.



Police are describing the suspect as a white man, 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall, with blue or light-colored eyes and wavy light brown hair, police said.



The suspect may have been wearing jeans and carrying a black hoodie, according to police.



Officers learned of the assault Wednesday, police said.
