Report: BART to consider policy to protect people from immigration raids
BART directors will consider a policy that seeks to protect people from immigration raids while riding the transit system.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- BART plans to protect undocumented immigrants from the federal government.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, BART directors will consider a policy Thursday that seeks to protect people from immigration raids while riding the transit system.

The resolution avoids the word sanctuary, but keeps the same tone.

Officials said there is concern the Trump administration could cut-off federal funding if the word sanctuary is part of the policy.
