Posey Tube linking Oakland to Alameda closing for construction

ALAMEDA, Calif. (KGO) -- The Posey Tube - one of the main arteries to the island of Alameda will be shut down for three nights beginning Monday night.

TRAFFIC: Check current road conditions and alerts

The closure will allow Caltrans crews to perform maintenance and clean the tunnel, which connects Alameda to Oakland.

The shutdown begins at 10 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. Detours will be in place, and drivers should expect delays.
