Thousands of Tesla Cybertruck vehicles are being recalled for a faulty trim panel.

Elon Musk's car company needs to make some repairs.

Just over 46,000 Tesla Cybertruck vehicles are being recalled. This amounts to nearly all Cybertrucks on the road.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the stainless-steel exterior trim panel that runs along the left and right side of the windshield can detach and fall off while driving, creating a dangerous road hazard for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall of 46,096 Cybertrucks covers all 2024 and 2025 model years, manufactured from November 13, 2023, to February 27, 2025.

It's the eighth recall of the Tesla-made vehicles since deliveries to customers began just over a year ago. The NHTSA order says that Tesla became aware of the problem early this year.

Owners of affected vehicles can have the rail assembly repaired at no cost.
