San Jose firefighters battle 2-alarm structure fire
San Jose Fire Department crews are at the scene of a two-alarm fire at a commercial structure on Wednesday morning.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A two-alarm fire has been extinguished at a commercial building in San Jose on Wednesday morning, a fire captain said.

The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m. in the 300 block of Saratoga Avenue when a delivery person said the building was hot and there was smoke coming from the windows and roof, San Jose Fire Capt. Mitch Matlow said.

The fire was knocked down at about 6:30 a.m. and declared under control about an hour later, Matlow said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is under investigation. Crews remained at the scene as of 8 a.m., according to Matlow.
