OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A seventh suspect was charged by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office in the homicide of Chyemil Pierce. The 30-year-old mother who was fatally shot in the 2800 block of Chestnut Street on March 9, 2015.
On Thursday, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office charged 16-year-old Julian Ambrose of Oakland with using a firearm to commit bodily injury, full enhancement, and attempted murder in connection with the death of Chyemil Pierce. Ambrose is to be prosecuted as an adult.
Six other suspects in this case have previously been arrested and charged with homicide, attempted homicide, accessory to murder and other crimes in this case. Homicide investigators continue to identify additional suspects in connection with this case.
