Two injured in shooting, stabbing in Martinez

MARTINEZ, Calif. (KGO) -- Two people were injured in a shooting and stabbing in Martinez early this evening, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 6:17 p.m. at Shell Avenue and Orchard Lane and the Contra Costa County Fire Department said one person was stabbed and another was shot. The extent of their injuries are unknown.

There was no word on what led up to the confrontation.
