AccuWeather Forecast: Heatwave starts tomorrow
ABC7 News Weather Anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast for Sunday.

Takeaway of the Day

It was a sunny Sunday for today's SF Pride Parade. The all-too-familiar marine layer remained mostly offshore today, which resulted in mild-to-warm weather here in San Francisco and across the entire Bay Area. Now that today is winding down, we need to prepare ourselves for a week's worth of triple-digit heat in the week ahead.

The Look Ahead

A potentially dangerous heatwave will begin tomorrow, and the extreme heat will likely linger at least into next weekend, possibly longer.

An EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH for nearly the entire Bay Area will be in effect from Tuesday morning through Friday evening, which means the heat will be so intense and of such long duration, that heat-related illnesses are possible.

Under these extreme conditions, we can protect our health by drinking lots of fluids, limiting outdoor activity, and seeking shade or air conditioning whenever possible. In addition to health concerns, the coming heat wave will also raise fire concerns. Please be careful and stay safe.
