LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KGO) -- For just the fourth time ever, skiers and snowboarders will be able to hit the slopes at Squaw Valley for the Fourth of July holiday.
LIST: Bay Area 4th of July fireworks and festivities
The Lake Tahoe resort is staying open for what it's calling an "endless season."
Squaw Valley received 714 inches of snow earlier this year from the winter storms.
Officials say there's still 100 inches of snow at the summit.
In addition, starting on Saturday, Squaw Valley is holding a "Freedom Fest" with three days of live music paying tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band.
There will also be a fireworks show Monday evening.
