Napa fire damages home

NAPA

Napa Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Brassfield said the 11:27 a.m. fire at 1332 B St. caused smoke damage, heat damage to a hallway and bedroom and fire damage to the bathroom, where the fire started, and the living room. The fire was knocked down by 11:35 a.m.

Firefighters had limited access to the interior and overgrown exterior of the 1,000-square-foot home because the male occupant was a collector, Brassfield said. The man was not home at the time and is staying with family in Napa, Brassfield said.
