Man, woman busted for meth

Rick Lee Flett and Laurel Heather Hamill, both of Petaluma, were arrested after the search, which took place at about 5 p.m. in the 100 block of Lakeville Street, according to police.

Flett was on probation for possession of a controlled substance, and during the search officers noticed the outside of his home was being monitored by video surveillance, police said.

Inside the home, officers found several bags containing methamphetamine and narcotics, as well as packaging used in the sale of controlled substances, digital scales, multiple cellular phones, cash, two rifles and a shotgun, according to police.

Flett had methamphetamine in his pocket when he was arrested, while Hamill was under the influence of a controlled substance when she was arrested.

Both suspects were booked into Sonoma County Jail on $20,000 bail, according to police.
