Names chosen for City Hall falcons

The three falcon girls and one boy hatched in late April. The city held a contest to allow area children decide on the names. The mayor's office received nearly 250 entries.

The three female falcons are named Llahay (Persian for angel), Kya (African dialect for diamond in the sky, and Tierra (Spanish for earth).

The only boy is called Veer (Hindi word meaning brave).
