Police investigate shootings at two homes

The first shooting was reported just before midnight Wednesday in the 100 block of Valencia Street.

According to police, the residents said they woke up because of the sound of gunfire, but that no one was injured.

The second shooting was reported around 10 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Elkington Street.

Arriving officers found a pick-up truck parked in front of the home that had been struck by gunfire. The garage of the home had also been struck. Witnesses said they saw a white van or sport utility vehicle followed by a dark sedan fleeing the area after the shooting, according to police.

No one was injured in that incident either, police said.

Suspect information in both incidents was not immediately available. It is uncertain whether the shootings are connected.
