March 23, 2010 11:48:38 AM PDT
A pilot was able to walk away from a light plane crash Tuesday morning in San Benito County.

The twin engine airplane went down just before7 a.m., northwest of the Hollister Airport.

The FAA says the Piper Comanche lost partial engine power moments after taking off from Hollister Airport and crashed into this field about 100 yards away. The pilot was the only person onboard and has just minor injuries.

The aircraft is registered in Australia. The flight was bound for Kona, Hawaii.
