Man gets smoke inhalation from house fire in SJ

SAN JOSE, Calf.

He was one of several people who called the San Jose Fire Department just after 8 a.m. to report that a house at 1820 Foxworthy Ave. was burning, fire Capt. Steve Forman said.

A man and a woman who were inside a house when the fire started jumped out a bedroom window, he said. They were not injured.

The fire was contained at about 9:10 a.m.

PG&Eworkers were at the home to deal with live electrical wires, Forman said.

The cause of the fire at the single-family home is being investigated. Damage estimates haven't been released.
