High-speed rail officials in California are getting some tips from representatives in Spain, home to the second-largest high speed rail system in the world.

The San Francisco Examiner reports that the California High Speed Rail Authority is expected to enter into an agreement with Spain on Thursday to share information about best practices for creating a high speed railway.

Members of the California Rail Project will also meet with the Spanish Trade Commission to discuss economic opportunities from high-speed rail.

Spain trails China for the largest high-speed rail network in the world.
