Bay Area dog owners want major retailers to take Waggin Train chicken jerky dog treats off store shelves.

22-hundred cases of sickened pets including 361 deaths linked to the treats have been reported to the Food and Drug Administration.

An Illinois woman started the now $60 thousand strong online campaign when her German Shepherd died within a week of eating the treats.

Another dog owner in San Francisco says her dog almost died when she ate the same treats purchased at Safeway.

The FDA is investigating the treats.
