Crab boat skippers make no decision on pricing

SAN FRANCISCO

More than 100 boats are staying in port in San Francisco, Half Moon Bay and Bodega Bay. Before Thanksgiving, the crabbers agreed to selling crab for $3 a pound. But at one point last week, the price was down under $2 due to weak demand.

Last year, crab fishermen went on strike for weeks until they reached an agreement to sell crab for $2.25 a pound.

The meeting conculded with no decision being made. The skippers will meet again on Tuesday.
