San Francisco police have announced an arrest in a deadly hit-and-run accident, in which officers say the driver doubled-back to look at the victim on the ground before speeding away.

A surveillance camera caught a picture of the white Dodge Durango after the driver hit a woman in her 80s on Bayshore Boulevard three weeks ago. The woman was in the crosswalk and had a green light.

After hitting the woman, witnesses say the driver made a U-turn; slowly drove by the woman lying on the ground, then sped off. The victim died at the scene.

Nidra Stubbs, 31, was taken into custody at her San Francisco home yesterday. She faces felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges.
