Fire displaces 10 in Oakland

Ten people were displaced in a house fire today in East Oakland, according to the Oakland Fire Department.

The blaze was reported at about 4:30 p.m. at 1232 78th Avenue. Firefighters had the flames under control in 15 minutes.

Red cross was called to assist the displaced, which included at least two children, fire officials said. The blaze is under investigation.

No other information was immediately available.
