"I called the Lakewood Sheriff's Department and told them that I hadn't seen my neighbor in about three months, and I wanted them to confirm whether he was on vacation or he was missing, and police came out. They looked through the house and they went into the backyard and they found his body by the shed," said neighbor Christine Van Hofwegen.
The victim had lived at the house with his 58-year-old daughter for many years.
When deputies arrived, the daughter met them at the door and showed them around the house. They found nothing inside, but when they got to the backyard, they reportedly found the body under a pile of debris.
The daughter was arrested and faces murder charges.
