The final four Berkeley tree sitters were in court Monday for a pre-trial hearing. Two were bailed out on Friday and the remaining two have not yet posted bail.

They face misdemeanor charges of trespassing and refusing to obey a court order.

ABC7 talked with one of the tree sitters, Armando Resendez.

ABC7: How does a guy spend a year in a tree?

Resendez: You spend a year in a tree when you've got everything you need: love, food and a place to go to the bathroom, a place to sleep. It's not that hard, if you've got that.

Their next court appearance is set for early October.
