The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. at University Avenue and Donohoe Street, police Capt. Carl Estelle said
A vehicle driven by a woman, whose passengers were two men in their 20s, was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection when another car pulled up and a man exited, Estelle said.
The man walked over and fired several rounds into the first vehicle before getting back into his dark-colored sports car and driving away, Estelle said.
One of the victims was shot in the leg and the other in his arm, he said.
The woman driving the vehicle drove to East Bayshore Road and stopped in front of a Taco Bell restaurant, Estelle said. The victims went into the restaurant and retrieved towels to stop the bleeding.
Paramedics responded to the Taco Bell and transported the victims to a hospital. Estelle did not know the extent of their injuries.
Police this afternoon were investigating the shooting and working to develop a description of the suspect and his vehicle, Estelle said.
