Students get virtual college tour

OAKLAND, CA

Students at Oakland's McClymonds Educational Complex boarded a bus in the parking lot, where they logged onto laptop computers for virtual tours.

The program is called "The Road to College" and it is intended to help disadvantaged students.

Participants were able to see all 23 California State University campuses, fill out application and get financial aid and scholarship information.

Later, students at San Jose's Independence High School gotr the same opportunity.
