Sea lion wanders near Oakland runway

Workers at the Oakland airport spotted a wayward sea lion Tuesday wandering near the edge of a runway.

Rescuers from the Marine Mammal Center named the sea lion "Saps" after netting him in a marsh area.

No one knows how long Saps was there, but marine experts say California sea lions are curious and occasionally end up in unlikely places.

Saps was lethargic, but does not appear to be injured. He will be examined and will likely be released into a more remote area.
