It started at about 9:30 pm in a home on Ash Court. That's on the border with Monte Sereno. The family living there tried to put the fire out themselves, while waiting for firefighters.
The husband, wife and their daughter were able to escape without injury, while firefighters doused the flames. One firefighter was treated for a minor leg injury - the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
