San Jose Officer accused of sexual battery

SAN JOSE, CA

The picture above is when Morales attended a sniper training exercise in San Jose back in 2005. A department spokesman says the 41-year-old Morales was on patrol south of downtown when he approached the teenager.

"The allegation is that as she is walking in the area of Third and Keys, he approached her, did a pat search, inappropriately touched her, put her in his patrol car, drove her to a nearby home and dropped her off there," said Enrique Garcia, from the San Jose Police Department.

The girl told family members about the encounter and they called police who launched an investigation. Morales was placed on administrative leave. He was booked on the charges Tuesday, and then freed on bond.
