The lane closures will begin at 12 a.m. and end at 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Caltrans is working to rebuild the eastbound, or southern, portion of the bridge.
Caltrans also anticipates delays overnight from January 24 to 25, when I-80 will be closed for bridge demolition. Drivers can detour around the bridge via the highway's on- and off-ramps, but traffic will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.
