A Santa Rosa man was arrested Sunday in connection with a double shooting Saturday night that left two adult brothers wounded, one critically, police said.

The shooting took place at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday at the brothers' home in the 900 block of Aston Avenue, located in the southeastern part of the city, according to police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Banayat.

Police found one man, Jose Sanchez, shot multiple times. He is listed in critical condition.

His brother, Julio Sanchez, was shot once and is expected to survive, Banayat said.

The suspect, 30-year-old Isidro Godinez Flores, described as an acquaintance of the brothers, had apparently argued with them before the shooting, according to Banayat. She did not know what the argument was about.

Police pulled over and arrested Flores as he was driving in Southern California early Sunday morning, Banayat said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Santa Rosa Police Department's Violent Crimes Investigations Team at (707) 543-3590.
