A driver suspected of being intoxicated was arrested on multiple charges early Monday morning after officers found five pounds of marijuana in his truck, the California Highway Patrol announced.

Officers spotted the Toyota Tundra weaving on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at about 2:45 a.m. and stopped the vehicle at the East Washington Street offramp, according to the CHP.

David Lee Thomas, 39, of Redway, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the CHP reported. Officers then allegedly located about five pounds of marijuana in a plastic tub in the truck.

The marijuana had been packaged for sales, according to the CHP.

Thomas was booked into the Sonoma County jail on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana for sales and transportation for sales.
