The child was playing in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 23 N. Hebbron Ave. at about 11:15 a.m. when he was hit by a car driven by a 27-year-old woman.
Teresita Villapando backed down a long driveway into the apartment complex parking lot and stopped. She initially saw the boy playing in the parking lot and then lost sight of him.
Villapando moved forward and the left wheels of her vehicle drove over the child's head. The boy was life-flighted to San Jose.
