See the latest in red fashions and hear personal stories from women who are fighting heart disease and staying heart healthy!

Friday, Feb. 6 is National Wear Red Day

You'll see landmark buildings going red and you might see the red dress symbol around. We wear red to raise awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women as well as men. Join us by wearing red this Friday! And you can donate $5 to help fund women's research and education efforts by texting RED to 90999.

February 4-8 in celebration of National Wear Red Day, Macy's will give you an extra 20 percent off most regular, sale and clearance purchases when you wear anything red. Customers can purchase a $2 AHA red dress pin at the register to receive the extra 20 percent if they happen to not be wearing red that day. For more information go to

Parisa is a 29-year-old Realtor, model, actress and graduate student. Her passion for the cause of heart disease education was born out of tragedy after she lost her father at the very young age of 44. Heart disease does not discriminate and Parisa wants to help the public to be more informed advocates for their own health.

Carolyn Jung -- wearing Black Puma Jacket($85), Black Puma Jogging pants($50), Red and Black Puma tank($22.80)

Carolyn is a food writer and blogs under the name of Foodgal. Several years ago, Carolyn found out that she has high blood pressure. She keeps it in check by eating right - which isn't so easy, considering her profession -- exercising, taking her medication and visiting her doctor regularly. Two years ago, Carolyn lost both her parents. Her dad had heart failure and her mom had a stroke. So Carolyn does all she can to protect her own health. And she speaks out to let others know that high blood pressure is invisible and more common than you think.
