Retired alligator to live in Oklahoma

A former movie and commercial star is now living the good life in an exotic animal park in Oklahoma, after being delicately removed from a back yard pond.

Of course, that former star is a 12 foot alligator.

Albert the Alligator was the pet of Richard Beamon, a taxidermist who died this week at the age of 69.

Family and friends did not know what to do with the 800 pound gator, so they called wildlife officials.

Workers had to use a backhoe to break through a dam surrounding Albert's pond, drain the water and wrangle the animal into a rescue trailer to move him to his new home.
