Memorial ride held for killed cyclists

A memorial ride was held Monday in honor of two bicyclists killed one year ago, when a Santa Clara County sheriff's deputy allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and ran into them.

Kristy Gough wanted to compete in the Beijing Summer Olympics. She was riding with Matt Peterson. Both were killed.

On Monday the group of cyclists re-traced the route from San Mateo County to Stevens Canyon Road in the Cupertino Hills.

The sheriff's deputy involved in the accident currently faces two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
