The assault happened in the area of Hensley and Angus avenues, near El Camino Real, between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on March 4, but the assault wasn't reported until Friday, police said.

Police said the man grabbed the girl from behind and tried to force her into a vehicle, but that she kicked and screamed and was able to break free.

The man got into the car and fled north on El Camino Real.

He is described as Hispanic, about 30 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slender build.

He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a white T-shirt and black pants, and spoke with a heavy accent. He had a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

The vehicle was described as a black, two-door 1980s Cadillac with tinted rear windows and shiny chrome rims.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the San Bruno Police Department at (650) 616-7100.
